I was finally able to check out this new coffee shop here in Lubbock and sadly I was disappointed with the customer service and the quality of the drinks. When I first got there, I wasn’t greeted nor was I asked if I needed any assistance. At some point, I was just being stared at. Yes, it was the Gen-Z stare. I asked questions about the menu and the cashier knew nothing. I was treated like I was bothering the cashier for having questions. It took awhile to get my drink but understandable as it was somewhat busy with in-store and drive-thru orders. Now, when it comes to the drink… I would give it a 1/10. I got a strawberry matcha and it tasted like very sweet strawberry milk. Nothing wrong with strawberry milk. I just couldn’t taste the matcha at all. With their strawberry matcha they only offered it in one size (24 oz) and I paid around $8-$9 for it. I got to taste my friends coffee orders and they were both very sweet and you couldn’t taste the coffee at all. If you like Dutch Bros then this place is for you. If you like the actual taste of coffee and/or matcha then do not come here. The overall aesthetic inside is cute and Instagram worthy if you’re into that.
